- I began life as an artist. Drawing stick figures at 4-years old. My painting career came many years later after cartooning and illustrating professionally. I began with oil painting and discovered watercolor years later. I was a figure painter and only did occasional still life work. Now I paint landscapes almost exclusively. However, I do dabble in abstracts, too. My work, style and interests are constantly evolving.
